ASKIT Consultancy & Training was started by myself in 1991 to enable me to carry out two activities I enjoy; training and helping people in business.
In doing this I was able to put my experience in Finance, logistics, quality and production and marketing to work.
As someone who was articled for 5 years as a student apprentice gaining an Honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (as it later became known) followed by an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (as it is now known) and later an MSc in Astronomy & Astronautics on a part-time basis from the what is now The University of Hertfordshire I have always enjoyed intellectual pursuits combined with practical activity.
I was fortunate to study at Chicago in the late 60s, a time when it was possible to audit courses given by Milton Friedman, Stigler and Morgenthau and had a summer job working as a Chief Fiscal Officer for the State of Illinois. Subsequently I worked in Manhattan for 18 months before returning to Europe. This period confirmed my interests in economics and business.
